A hybrid city block in the center of Helsinki, Finland, designed by Anttinen Oiva Architects for a competition. The new block will include housing, retail, and hotel functions, but the main challenge was its location. This is a consolidated area of the city, a former industrial district that is now expected to transform into a lively neighborhood with a unique urban culture.
